Julian Fernando Casablancas

Julian Fernando Casablancas (born August 23, 1978) is the lead singer.

The first disc of the Strokes, "Is this it", was released in early 2000, established and maintained instantaneously to The Strokes in the music world. Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth, 2003 and 2006 respectively confirmed the banda of the young singer as a major this season.

Julian wrote all the songs from the album, with one exception: the share of credits to Stop Automatic Room on fire. Casablancas is known for his lyrics and his way of singing, usually compared to Lou Reed and his band, the Velvet Underground.

His first solo album, called Phrazes For The Young, was released on October 30, 2009 in Germany, November 2 in the UK and November 3 in the U.S.. In Brazil, the album was released on November 13.

Personal life

Julian is the son of the founder of EliteModel Management, John Casablancas, ede Chistiansen Jeanette, a model who was Miss Denmark em1965, but confesses that he does not have a relaçãomuito next to his father and rarely sees. When very young his parents sedivorciaram and he went to Le Rosey Institut for having problems with bebida.Mais later studied at the Dwight School in New York. Juliane Nikolai Fraiture became friends when they were very young. He met AlbertHammond Jr. at Le Rosey and when he moved Dwight School for A school, met the rest of the future members of the group, Nick Valensi and Fabrizio Moretti.
