Fabrizio Moretti

Fabrizio Moretti (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 2, 1980) is an Italian-Brazilian drummer living in the United States.

Carreira

Born in Brazil, his family moved to the United States when he was four years old. He is the son of an Italian and a Brazilian. It drummer of indie rock band The Strokes and, along with guitarist Nick Valensi started playing when both were studying at the Dwight School in Manhattan. As a drummer, has a reputation for choosing a more simplistic and constant ringing.

He is co-founder Judi Foundation (which now no longer works), a nonprofit foundation to encourage prevention and research on juvenile diabetes, especially a form of the disease known as LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults) established in 2004 .

Participated from 2007 to 2009, a side project to The Strokes, in partnership with Rodrigo Amarante (guitarist and vocalist of the band Los Hermanos, which is in recess indefinitely since June 2012 [1]) and his ex-girlfriend Binki Shapiro of Little Joy.

Currently, Moretti worked with The Strokes in a new álbumdepois the album Angles and shareholdings of the band at various festivals as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Coachella.
