Angles

Angles is the fourth album from New York band The Strokes, released on March 21, 2011 in the UK and a day later in the United States by RCA Records as the first single, "Under Cover of Darkness", released on 9 February 2011. The disc is the successor to First Impressions of Earth 2006 and was produced by the band in the studio personnel Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes guitarist) except for the track "Life Is Simple In The Moonlight", also produced by Joe Chiccarelli. The title of the new album, Angles (angles in Portuguese), is explained by Albert Hammond Jr. with the phrase: "This is how the album sounds. Born five different people." 

Julian Casablancas (The Strokes frontman) says Angles will be very similar to First Impressions of Earth, but with more touches of funk. Once released, the album Angles was condierado more Alternative banda, showing contrasts in style between tracks, some of which have influences from pop, eighties rock, progressive rock and bossa nova. 

The recordings After several release dates scheduled and rescheduled, Albert Hammond Jr. finally announced the album name and the official date for the release of Angles, after 5 long years without any release of the band. Angles also the band's first album which featured the participation of all members in the compositions, unlike the three previous albums that had nearly all tracks written solely by Julian Casablancas. Julian Casablancas recorded his vocals separately from the band's album, which apparently went through disagreements later disproved. The band also states that recorded this new album and also the money involved that all have bills to pay.

Angles é o quarto álbum da banda nova-iorquina The Strokes, lançado em 21 de março de 2011 no Reino Unido e um dia depois nos Estados Unidos pela RCA Records já com o primeiro single, "Under Cover of Darkness", lançado em 9 de fevereiro de 2011. O disco é sucessor do First Impressions of Earth de 2006 e foi produzido pela própria banda no estúdio pessoal de Albert Hammond Jr. (guitarrista do The Strokes) com exceção da faixa "Life Is Simple In The Moonlight", produzida ainda por Joe Chiccarelli. O título do novo álbum, Angles (ângulos em português), é explicado por Albert Hammond Jr. com a frase: "É assim que o álbum soa. Nasce de cinco pessoas diferentes". Julian Casablancas (vocalista do The Strokes) afirma que Angles será bastante parecido com First Impressions of Earth, porém com mais toques de funk. Depois de lançado, Angles foi condierado o álbum mais alternativo da banda, mostrando contrastes de estilo entre as faixas, sendo que algumas têm influências do pop, do rock oitentista, do rock progressivo e da bossa nova. Depois de várias datas de lançamento marcadas e remarcadas, Albert Hammond Jr. finalmente anunciou o nome do álbum e a data oficial para o lançamento de Angles, após 5 longos anos sem nenhum lançamento da banda. Angles também é o primeiro álbum da banda que contou com a participação de todos os integrantes nas composições, ao contrário dos três álbuns anteriores que tinham quase todas as faixas compostas somente por Julian Casablancas. Julian Casablancas gravou os vocais do álbum separado da banda, que aparentemente passava por desavenças, mais tarde desmentidas. A banda também afirma que gravaram este novo disco também pelo dinheiro envolvido e que todos têm contas a pagar.

First Impressions of Earth

First Impressions of Earth is that of The Strokes, released in 2006.

This album was a landmark in the history of the band that they had tried to innovate their rock, "Juicebox" (the first single) has a clip that was censored by MTV for gay scenes contain both among men and among women. One of the counter arguments used by the band, was that most Hip Hop clips are much more "sexual" than the Juicebox, the clip went through a process and reissue these images were taken. "Heart In A Cage" was the second single and "You Only Live Once" the third.

         First Impressions of Earth é o  do The Strokes, lançado em 2006.Esse álbum foi um marco na história da banda por eles terem tentado inovar seu rock: "Juicebox" (O primeiro single)  tem um clipe que foi censurado pela MTV, por conter cenas homossexuais tanto entre homens como entre mulheres. Um dos contra-argumentos usados pela banda, foi o de que a maioria dos clipes de Hip Hop são muito mais "sexuais" que o Juicebox; o clipe passou por um processo de reedição e essas imagens foram retiradas. "Heart In A Cage" foi o segundo single e "You Only Live Once" o terceiro. Todas as faixas são compostas por Julian Casablancas, exceto Ask Me Anything (por Julian Casablancas e Nick Valensi),  Killing Lies (por J. The disc features an eighties influence more than its predecessor. Debuted at the charts, reaching platinum status, and had 3 songs that became very touched and video clips: "12:51", "Reptilia" and "The End Has No End".

This This It is the first studio album by The Strokes.
Particularly is my favorite album, not by polemics below, but the rhythm, the voice hoarse from Julian, whatever.
This album is responsible for inspiring many bands of the Indie scene, since it was considered one of the most important albums of the 2000s.
  Produced by Gordon Raphael, the album was first released on July 30, 2001, in Australia, by RCA Records. The album entered the UK Albums Chart list of second and reached 33rd place in the U.S. Billboard 200, reaching achieve platinum status in several markets. The songs "Hard to Explain", "Last Nite" and "Someday" were released as singles.

For the album, the Strokes have struggled to gain a simpler rock that was not as reinforced by studio effects. Working on his 2001 release, the EP The Modern Age, the band members molded compositions largely taken through live recording sessions, while the composer Julian Casablancas continued to detail the life and relationships of urban youth in his lyrics. Upon completion of Is This It, The Strokes embarked on a world tour to promote even before its release. The picture of the album cover caused controversy for being too sexually explicit and was replaced on U.S. markets. The list of songs in the American version has also been changed as a result of the terrorist attacks of 11 September.
Promoted by the music press as having a sound influenced by pop music, The Strokes won critical acclaim and attention comercial.Is This It was praised for his charisma and rhythm, being repeatedly touted as having references of garage rock bands of the '70s. The album was and still is regarded as crucial in the formation of other bands, alternative music and the music industry of the XXI century. It was considered by many publications as the most important album of the 2000s and among the best of all time.
